Summary
Sabotage of train along what is now the Yolo Causeway, between Sacramento and Davis. The American Railway Union called for a national boycott of the use of Pullman sleeping cars June 27, 1894. Strikers took control of stations and railway yards in many California cities and greatly disrupted service. Federal troops were called up in early July to restore the flow of goods and mail. The strike ended July 20.
