Summary
Irrigation was key to the use of the Sacramento Valley for agriculture. The Kuhn California Project was designed to irrigate and sell more than 250,000 acres of farmland on the west side of the Sacramento River in Colusa and Glenn counties. It was envisoned changing an area presently used for unirrigated grain raising to family farms growing a wide variety of stock and produce, at a considerable profit to the farmer.
