Summary  Propelled by two horse-power, this farm laborer steers a narrow conveyance down rows of celery in Sacramento County circa 1925. Statistics show that of 417 industrial plants surveyed in 1924, food and food by-products took eight of the 23 slots reserved for the biggest industries. The total value of the area's canning and preserving plants exceed all others, including the railroad repair shops, with $8,900,000 in assets.
