Summary
Schoolgirls stand on either side of the Oak Park arch on this card postmarked January 1915. A slumbering suburb until the first part of the 20th century, the rail-line and subsequent scramble to sub-divide and sell as many acres as possible in sleepy Sacramento turned Oak Park into a busy and valuable community that was incorporated into the city in 1911.
