Summary  The intersection of 10th and L Streets, downtown Sacramento, taken in 1897. Snapped from the Capitol building and showing the northwest corner of the grounds, the spire of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacramento on K Street is one of the few landmarks recognizable to current residents since most of the buildings shown here have joined the horse-drawn carriages that disappeared from the scene long ago.
