Summary
Southern Pacific steamer NAVAJO with the S.P. bridge in the background jockeys for position on a typically busy day on the Sacramento River some time in the early part of last century. The Navaho was launched in 1909 and sailed at night between Sacramento and San Francisco. It was known as a "floating palace". The postcard appears to be dated December 2, 1919.
