PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC MAGAZINE for January, 1910, devoted a front-page article to Sacramento's street car system and included a number of photographs. As this photo and caption shows, Sacramento was resourceful and practical when it came to transportation. As the horse-drawn car became obsolete the car was converted to electricity via a storage battery.
