PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC MAGAZINE for January, 1910, devoted a front-page article to Sacramento's street car system and included a number of photographs. This map of the city's street car lines and PG&E properties reflects a metropolis not yet dependent on gas-powered vehicles and reasonably well connected by an effective rail system, something Sacramento is doing again almost a century later.
