Summary
This joint effort by the Board of Supervisors and Exposition Commissioners of Sacramento County from 1915 is a wonderful example of the promotional brochures issued by most California counties to draw visitors and new neighbors to the Golden State. The passenger ship CAPITAL CITY dwarfs the NEWTOWN No. 2 as they lay at rest on the Sacramento River ca. 1915. The boats in the background are wedged into a waiting pattern as they await their turn at the docks or the signal to release them on their journey.
