Summary
SACRAMENTO: The Heart of California was an enticement offered by the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce in 1914 to encourage tourism and settlement in the Sacramento Valley. According to the Sacramento City Directory for 1915 there were dozens of automobile garages and dealerships including at least one place specializing in used cars. This electric automobile was manufactured by Baker Industries in Ohio from 1899 to 1914 and eventually merged itself into a part of Otis-Elevator, setting it apart as a company on the way up. This double-drive brougham could be purchased from Graham & Lamus Company, 711 M Street, Sacramento.
