Established in 1853, the Phoenix Mill operated under one name or another until 1928 and was known all over Northern California. This color advertisement blends all then-current means of transportation into a colorful enticement for both the product and the Delta region. The ad ran as the back cover for the December 10, 1910 issue of the SACRAMENTO WEEKLY and ALTA CALIFORNIAN, a great looking magazine and a cornucopia of photos, facts and articles about the Sacramento Valley.
