View is looking north. The Blacksmith Shop is to left and the Powerhouse tower at left rear. The Planing Mill runs east to west. The south end of Car Shop 3 is visble at right. The board bears the printed information "Johnson Brothers photo." Edward E. Johnson and Josiah Johnson, Jr. opened a photographic studio in Sacramento in 1870.
