Summary
The F.F. Smith Company, owned by Fred F. Smith, did business in the early twentieth century as a supplier of poultry and livestock supplies, incubators, brooders, and other agricultural merchandise. Marigolds have been grown in gardens for several hundred years, originating in Mexico. They are reknowned for their hardiness and their resistance to bugs and disease. Also interesting is the seed packet art. Lithographers used a technique called stippling to create the image. This antique seed packet art has become quite collectible.
