Summary
The imposing People's Bank Building at 8th and J Streets in downtown Sacramento later housed A. P. Giannini's Bank of Italy and its subsequent incarnation, Bank of America. Leveled in 1960, the new B of A eventually moved to a new location and the site has seen many different tenants (including the Sacramento Public Library) but its main function has been as a parking garage.
