Summary
On a card postmarked November, 1917, busy K Street shows plenty of bicycles, horse-drawn vehicles and electric rail cars without an automobile in sight. The rail cars, phased out many years past, made a successful return to the downtown area and plans are in place to extend the service further out to better serve the outlying areas. The majority of the buildings seen are either gone or drastically altered. The tall structure on the right is the old federal building and everything visible beyond that point is now part of the Downtown Plaza development or the freeway.
