Summary
Group portrait of of Southern Pacific Railroad Sacramento Shops employees. The men are standing in front of the Office Building, flanking a Safety Banner awarded to the Sacramento Shops "For promoting safety, July 1st 1917 - Sept. 30th, 1918." The photograph was reproduced in the July 1919 issue of the Southern Pacific Bulletin (p. 14) which identifies the men, from left to right as, H. C. Venter, General Foreman Locomotive Department, A. D. Williams, Superintendent of Motive Power, D. S. Watkins, Superintendent of Shops and J. Hall, Master Car Repairer.
