[Pavilion of the State Agricultural Society]
Fairgoers at the end of the 19th century stroll and ride by the Agricultural Pavilion, located at the edge of Capitol Park and a hub of activity during the California State Fair season. The original pavilion at 6th and M Streets broke ground in the summer of 1859. At that time it was one of the largest public halls in the United States at 100x140 feet. Taken from an undated print.
